| Connie Jerz (Tucson High 2000), was 2004 NCAA Indoor third-place finisher, 2004 NCAA Outdoor runner-up with a PR of 4.30 (14'1-1/4") for the University of Arizona as a scholarship athlete. Connie also made the Pac-10 All-Academic Team in Spring 2004. Formerly a scholarship athlete at Long Beach State and still the school record holder at 4.07 M (13'4.25"), she qualified for the 2001 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships as a freshman and sophomore. Connie was the AZ state record holder (12'2-1/2") (through 2002), as well as the AZ 5A meet record holder (11'6). She was 2nd at the 2000 Great Southwest Invitational, 6th at the Golden West Invitational, and an All-American at the USATF Junior Nationals in 2000 with 8th place, 5th in 2001. Connie is currently enrolled in Parker Chirpractic College in Texas. |
